Welcome to Under The Bed Guitars – The online store for Quality New and Pre-Loved Vintage, Collectable and Desirable Guitars from the USA and Japan.

Our Stock

There are no gimmicks here. We want you to be 100% delighted with your purchase and experience with us. We go to every effort to bring to you a small catalogue of guitars sourced from across the globe with one thing in mind, Quality. All of our guitars (except new ones) have to meet a standard of criteria before we present them to you the buyer.

UTBG guitars necks are straight with no annoying buzzing of strings.
UTBG guitars have none or little fret/fingerboard wear
UTBG guitars have the original paintwork show very litte use and will still show a deep lacquered shine
UTBG guitars are manufactured in the USA and Japan only
UTBG guitars are cleaned, tested & set up with old strings replaced where necessary

As with most used guitars we cannot expect perfection but we will advise you, the customer, of all information concerning each guitar, good and bad backed up by our super high resolution digital SLR pictures, no nasty surprises when you buy an Under The Bed Guitar! and of course we are here to answer any questions you may have about the guitar, just drop us an email…we don’t know everything but we will tell you all what we can.

Rating

Each guitar listed on our catalogue will have a Condition Rating as described below

N= NEW OR N(NOS) new old stock
Factory new, never used. Sealed in box or Opened to photgraph only. 100% Perfect condition.

(please note: As we are not authorised dealers for any particular brand, a manufacturers warranty may not apply. We do however gaurantee these to be NEW as described or your money back)

A= AS NEW, MINT

Formerly owned but shows almost no signs of use, or play, near flawless. Might still have all or some of its original packing materials receipts or accessories. It is super clean and appears to be brand new.

B= MINT +/-
Near new Condition but shows little signs of use. It is really clean and shows only very light play with some small very very minor scratches, dinks, blemishes and or tarnishing

C= EXCELLENT +/-
Excellent condition with only light/normal signs of ownership/play. It may have a few small blemishes, scratches and chips here and there. 100% Functional unless otherwise stated.

Note: (Older Guitars Pre 1985 will also have a score out of 10 displayed next to the condition character)

The Order Process - Guitar Purchases

1. Once you have decided to purchase a guitar from our online shop, please proceed to checkout by clicking the "Buy me Now" icon. Once you have viewed your cart and are happy please click the "checkout" button.

2. In this new window please enter your billing information in the white field boxes. Change your shipping on this page or the next page to include or exclude insurance for the item. Press "continue to next step"

3. In the next window/page add your delivery address in the white field boxes (this address is where we will ship to.) If this address is the same as your billing address just press the orange text "click here to use the same address for delivery" Please change your shipping method if required to include or exclude Insurance (the shipping cost for your address is calculated automatically based on the delivery address you have supplied)

4. Please enter your payment method. Our payment methods are > Secure Credit or Debit Cards, by Streamline, Paypal if you have an account or Alternatively a Cheque via the post, Cheques Payable to: Under The Bed Guitars. Please press "continue to next step"

5. This page is a summary of your order. Please check that all information is correct. If any information is incorrect please press the back page< on your browser to amend the details. Once you are happy with the information you have supplied please agree to the terms and conditions and "click here to confirm your order"

6. If you have chosen to pay by Credit/Debit or Paypal you will now be redirected to complete payment. Once payment has been made you can then be redirected back to our UTBG website where you can view a page showing the confirmation of your order. A confirmation email will also be sent to you over the next few minutes. If you have chosen to pay by cheque, you will be taken straight to the final confirmation of order page, a confirmation email will then be sent to you. We immediatley receive confirmation that an order has been placed and send a further email with additional instructions (cheques payable to Under The Bed Guitars). Once funds have reached us (Credit/Debit/Paypal is immediate, for cheques please allow 5 working days) we will send an email advising you that goods have cleared and dispatch has taken place, this email will also include a dedicated tracking number for your goods.

Delivery and Shipping

We aim to deliver your order within 24 hours if you have ordered between Monday and Friday 10.00am - 2.00pm for UK mainland. This means that your order could be with you as early as the next working day (UK Mainland). In some cases your order can take a little longer but we will aim to process as soon as possble and arrange delivery to you via our dedicated courier New Horizon Logistics. An email will be sent to you once shipment has been made. Delivery will be made to your address specified in the order so please make all arrangements necessary to take delivery of the package. Orders will of course only be shipped once funds have been cleared. Deliveries are usually between 8.00am and 5.30pm. For International buyers allow 6 days approximatley for goods to arrive. Please be advised that the buyer will be responsible for all duties and taxes that your country imposes. All of our UTBG guitars are shipped in heavy duty card board boxes (often the original manufacturers boxes). We take great care to package items to protect corners and add addtional soft packaging to the box interior. The boxes are then bubble wrapped for additional protection from impact and adverse weather conditions. Guitars which only have soft cases will have addtional packaging to compensate.

Zone 2. (3 day economy service) EU European Countries
@£50 per guitar consignment / £75 inc full insurance

Zone 3. (3 day economy service) Non EU European Countries
@£79 per guitar consignment / £104 inc full insurance

Zone 3a. (6 day economy service) Canada, USA
@£89 per guitar consignment / £114 inc full insurance

Zone 4. (6 day economy service) Far East, Rest of The World
@£148 per guitar consignment / £173 inc full insurance

Insurance limit per item is £1000 sterling.

Terms and Conditions

Online Payments
Our transaction methods at present are credit/debit cards, paypal and cheque. Online credit and debit cards by secure payment. SSL Certificate approved.

Damaged Goods
We make every effort to package our UTBG guitars in heavy-duty boxes with plenty of soft packaging inside for maximum protection. However in the unlikely event packages do arrive damaged, we will collect the item/s from you and replace the goods with no cost to yourself. Alternatively, we will refund your order in full if the goods are no longer available (i.e. a pre-owned guitar). Just email us at info@underthebedguitars.co.uk to arrange. Please note that we cannot be held responsible for damages reported after 24 hrs of receipt of goods. We recommend that inspect your guitar before signing for the goods.

Cancellation Policy
To cancel any order, in the first instance info@underthebedguitars.co.uk. Your email should state your full name and address, your telephone number, the Paypal Transaction ID number and request of cancellation. If no goods have been delivered, we will confirm receipt of your cancellation and make an immediate full refund.

Returns Policy
If you are not happy with your guitar purchase for any reason then please take advantage of our no quibble 100% satisfaction guarantee. Firstly please contact us via email to explain that you are sending the goods back. All guitars must be returned within 7 working days and include all original packaging, copy of the bill of sale and any accessories that came with that particular guitar. The guitar must arrive back to us in the condition that it was sent to you with no additional marks or damage of any kind. Once we have received the goods back and on inspection of the guitar we will issue a full refund. Please note that you will be responsible for the full return postage charges and/or taxes/duties if you are an overseas customer.

Privacy Policy
Under The Bed Guitars does not disclose buyers' information to any third parties. We take customers' privacy and confidentiality very seriously.

Product Descriptions
We go to every effort to source genuine verified products to sell on this website. Our descriptions are based on our relationships with our trade suppliers along with our knowledge of each specific item for sale. We endeavour to be as accurate as possible with our descriptions regarding condition and specifications and welcome customer feed back.

UTBG reserve the right to revise these terms and conditions at any time by updating our website. Entering our website constitutes your acceptance of these terms and conditions.
